Air Fryer Sweet & Spicy Peach Chicken Drumsticks are air fried for 20 minutes and then coated in a sweet and spicy peach glaze.
They’re placed back in the air fryer for a few minutes to caramelize the glaze a little.
I love cooking chicken in my air fryer. Actually I love cooking just about anything in my air fryer. It is such a useful small appliance. Chicken legs cook up particularly well in the air fryer. They stay wonderfully juicy.
This recipe is fabulously quick and easy. There’s no need to marinate the chicken. It gets plenty of flavor from the glaze.
There are only 5 ingredients in the glaze: peach preserves, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, chili powder, and crushed red pepper flakes.
How To Make Air Fryer Sweet & Spicy Peach Chicken Drumsticks:
- Season the drumsticks with salt, pepper, and garlic powder and spritz them with oil.
- Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip them over. Spritz a little more oil on them and air fry another 10 minutes.
- Coat them in glaze and air fry a few more minutes.
Recipe Tips:
- Apricot or raspberry preserves can be used instead of peach preserves.
- Chicken thighs can be used instead of drumsticks.
- Yellow or spicy mustard can be subbed for Dijon.
- Worcestershire sauce can be used in place of soy sauce.
- It is important that you don’t put the glaze on until the last few minutes. The sugar in it will burn if it is in the air fryer too long.
