Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks are crispy on the outside and wonderfully juicy on the inside with lots of spice. It’s the perfect keto, low carb gameday food.
What’s to love about these Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks?
- They are like eating Buffalo Wings, but much meatier.
- They get super crispy without the added fat of deep-frying.
- The air fryer cooks them super fast without making a mess.
My Power Air Fryer XL is my favorite small kitchen appliance by far. I use it more than my Instant Pot and crock pot combined. I love the taste of fried foods and with the air fryer you can enjoy that great taste without all the added fat and calories.
The chicken legs first get marinated in dill pickle juice which adds so much awesome flavor. The chicken gets air fried for 20 minutes, then tossed with a Buffalo sauce that includes hot sauce, melted butter, lime juice, and garlic powder. Then it is air fried for another 5 minutes. So easy and so delicious!
Recipe Tips:
- Don’t crowd the chicken in the Air Fryer. Cook in batches if necessary. There should be room in the air fryer for the air to circulate around the chicken.
- The chicken should be cooked until it reaches 165 degrees internel temperature.
- I like to use Frank’s RedHot Original Sauce, but if you have a favorite sauce for making wings, use it.
- Serve with celery sticks and a low carb Ranch dressing or Blue Cheese Dressing.
