Recipe Tips:
This recipe makes 3 burgers but can easily be doubled.
The air fryer will already be preheated from cooking the bacon, so go ahead and place the burger patties in as soon as the bacon finishes cooking. As an added bonus, the bacon grease in the air fryer will help flavor them.
Air fryer cooking times can vary. The burgers should be done in 8 to 10 minutes. Maybe a little longer if you like your burger well done.

Air Fryer Bacon BBQ Burgers

Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 pound ground beef (80 to 90% lean)
- 2 tablespoons minced onion
- 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 slices colby jack cheese
- lettuce and tomato, for serving
- 3 buns
Burger Sauce
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
Instructions

Place a little water in the bottom of the air fryer drawer. This will help keep smoke from forming.
Place bacon in air fryer basket. Air fry at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping over halfway through.

While bacon cooks, make hamburger patties.
Combine the ground beef, onion, bbq sauce, seasoned salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Shape into 3 patties.

Place the burger patties in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 360 degrees for 5 minutes. Flip over and air fy another 3 to 4 minutes.
Top each with a slice of cheese and close the air fryer until the cheese is melted.

While the burgers are cooking, stir together the burger sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

To serve, place a burger on each bun. Top with 2 slices of bacon, and some burger sauce and lettuce and tomato, if desired.
