How Long To Cook Chicken Burgers
Chicken burgers should take approximately 5 minutes per side to cook. They are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Use an instant-read thermometer to tell when they are done.
Variations
- Use ground turkey or ground beef instead of chicken. You can even use ground lamb.
- Add 2 tablespoons of chopped sun-dried tomatoes in oil to the burger mixture. Chop them up into little pieces first.

Ingredients
Tzatziki Sauce
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup grated English cucumber
- 2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
- ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
Burgers
- 1 pound ground chicken, 93% lean
- 1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and water squeezed out
- 4 ounces crumbled feta cheese
- ½ cup finely diced onion
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ¾ teaspoon sea salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Instructions

Stir together all Tzatziki Sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Refrigerate until needed.

In a medium bowl, combine all burger ingredients. Shape into 4 patties and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Add burgers and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side.
