Cooking pork chops in the air fryer couldn’t be easier. Only 5 ingredients needed for this recipe! A simple marinade is made from mesquite seasoning, honey, olive oil, and black pepper. The pork chops marinate for 20 minutes and then air fry for about 15 minutes.
I love the flavor of mesquite seasoning. It is wonderfully smoky and a little spicy and sweet. It gives bold flavor to pork, chicken, and steak.
Tips for making Air Fryer Honey Mesquite Pork Chops:
Be careful not to overcook your pork. It will get tough and dry. A quick read thermometer really helps. You want the internal temperature to reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
Different air fryers can vary greatly when it comes to cooking times so use the cooking time as an estimate. It can take anywhere from 12 to 16 minutes depending not only on your air fryer, but the thickness of your pork chops as well.
You can use boneless pork chops, but I find having the bone in not only adds flavor, but helps keep the meat from drying out.
This recipe can easily be doubled, but you will have to cook the pork in two batches.
