Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Onion Rings are outrageously good. Possibly the most delicious low carb appetizer or snack ever.

Only 3 ingredients and 9 minutes in the Air Fryer before you’re devouring these babies. And they will be devoured!

I love all things bacon and when I am low carbing, I eat alot of bacon. It pretty much tastes good with anything and everything.

Onions and bacon go especially well together. These Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Onion Rings are oh so much better than your typical batter fried onion rings. The onions get soft and soak up all the flavor of the bacon.

To make Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Onion Rings, first slice a few yellow, white, or sweet onions. You could even use red ones if you wish, but sweet onions are my favorite. They contrast so well with the salty bacon.

You’ll want to separate the rings into groups of 2. That way they won’t get too flimsy when cooked.

Next brush the onions with Sriracha sauce. You could use BBQ sauce instead. Wrap the onions with bacon and secure with a toothpick.

Air fry for 9 minutes and then get ready to have your world rocked by the most delicious appetizer ever!

Note: Cooking times should be used as a guide and can vary from air fryer to air fryer. I use the Power XL Air Fryer.

Ingredients

  • 2 large yellow or sweet onions, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 8-10 bacon slices

Instructions

  1. Cut onions into 1/2-inch slices. Separate them so that there are 2 rings stuck together for each onion ring. This will give them some stability and prevent them from being too flimsy once cooked. Do not use the small inner pieces of the onion slice.

  2. Brush onions with Sriracha.

  3. Wrap a piece of bacon around each one. You may need 1 1/2 pieces of bacon for the larger rings. Secure with a toothpick.

  4. Air fry them in 2 batches. Adjust temperature to 370 degrees and set timer for 9 minutes. Flip them over halfway through.

Recipe Notes

Serving size is 2 bacon wrapped rings.
