- Use quick-cooking oats instead of old-fashioned oats.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mashed very ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease an 8-inch square baking dish.

In a large bowl, mix together banana, applesauce, brown sugar, and egg until blended well.

Add vanilla, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, flour, and oats and stir well.

Stir in chocolate chips and transfer to prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Bake for 16 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Let cool 5 minutes and then spread peanut butter on top. Cut into squares and serve.
