Keto Cabbage and Sausage Foil Packs- these individually proportioned meals are easy to throw on the grill. Sliced smoked sausage, cabbage, onion, and green pepper are lightly seasoned and placed in a foil packet with some butter.
As they steam, the butter melts and coats everything in buttery goodness.
Assemble the foil packets ahead of time, refrigerate them and you have a nearly effortless meal. You can even take them camping and cook them over the camp fire. Plus they can be eaten right out of the foil packet for easy clean-up.
I grill the packets on one side for about 12 minutes. Flip over and grill for about 10 more minutes. This amount of time gets the cabbage really soft. If you want the cabbage to still have a little crunch, try cooking for 8 minutes, flipping over, and cooking for 5 minutes. Since you are using smoked sausage, it is already cooked.

- Use any kind of smoked sausage (pork, turkey, or chicken).
- This recipe can easily be doubled to serve 8.
- These foil packets can be cooked on the grill or in a 400 degree oven.
- Try adding a little grated Parmesan just before serving for extra flavor.
- I like to add a little dried thyme, but parsley, oregano, or basil can be used instead.

Ingredients
- 1/3 medium head of cabbage, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
- 14 ounces Kielbasa sausage ,cut into 1/2-inch slices
- salt and pepper
- pinch of garlic powder
- pinch of thyme
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into 4 pieces
Instructions

Divide cabbage, onion, bell pepper, and sausage between 4 12-inch square pieces of aluminum foil.

Season with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle a small pinch of garlic powder and thyme over each one.

Place a piece of butter on top of each.

To close the foil packets, bring two opposite sides of the foil together. Fold the edges down several times.

Fold the edges up, folding it over on itself at least twice to seal.

Heat grill to medium-high heat. Place foil packets on the grill, cover and grill for 12 minutes.

Flip over and grill 10 more minutes.
