Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas

This recipe is keto-friendly, paleo-friendly, gluten-free, and Whole30 compliant. Air fryer Chicken Fajitas couldn’t be easier to make. It’s basically just lean meat and Mexican seasonings. Chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano give these fajitas tons of flavor.

Air Fryer Chciken Fajitas can be served wih low carb tortillas or over chopped romaine as a salad with some salsa on top as dressing. For the Keto diet, you can serve with sour cream.

I love that this meal can be made start to finish in under 30 minutes. You can even make it a day in advance and reheat it.

I love cooking foods in the Air Fryer. It is so quick and easy to use. It gets foods wonderfully tasty, charred and crispy with the use of hardly any oil. I use the Power Air Fryer XL. The Ninja Air Fryer is another good brand.

Use the cooking time as an estimate. It’s super easy to open the air fryer and take a peek. It really doesn’t slow down the cooking time like opening an oven does.

If the peppers and onions are cooked to your liking before the chicken is cooked through, remove them form the air fryer and continue cooking the chicken until it is done.

Ingredients

  • 1 large (about 10 ounces) chicken breast, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1/2 medium onion, sliced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive or coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Place chicken, onion, and bell peppers in a medium bowl.

  2. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with seasonings. Stir to mix evenly.

  3. Place mixture in the Air Fryer basket. Set to cook 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Open the Air Fryer halfway through and shake the basket.
