Air Fryer Baby Potatoes- only 4 ingredients and 12 minutes needed to make this delicious side dish. Crispy on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. They are sure to be a family favorite.
Air Fryer Baby Potatoes make a great side for beef, pork, or chicken.
Potatoes cook up extremly well in an air fryer and so much faster than in an oven. I especially love making Baked Potatoes in an air fryer, but these baby potatoes are a close second. Whenever I see itty bitty bite-sized potatoes at the grocery store or farmers market, I have to get them. They are so darn cute and have such a wonderful buttery, smooth texture.
How To Make Air Fryer Baby Potatoes:
- Wash and dry the potatoes. Drying them well will help get them crispy.
- Season. Spritz with oil. Using a mister is better than using a can of cooking spray. Cooking sprays have emulsifiers in them that are bad for the nonstick coating in your air fryer.
- Cook. Cooking time can vary based on your air fryer and the size of your potatoes. You want to cook them until you can easily pierce them with a fork.
Recipe Tips:
The cooking time of 12- 14 minutes is for tiny little potatoes. If your potatoes are larger, you may need to cook them up to 20 minutes to get them soft.
Add flavor by sprinkling them with fresh herbs once they are done cooking. Parsley, chives, rosemary, dill, and thyme all work well.
To make them spicy, sprinkle the potatoes with about 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper before cooking.
Don’t skimp on the salt. The key to good flavor with potatoes is using plenty of salt.
These potatoes are so simple and so delicious. Hope you get to try them soon.
