Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons erythritol or other sugar substitute
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together all ingredients except chicken. Pour half of the sauce into a small bowl and set it aside.

  2. Add the chicken to the bowl and turn to coat it well. Let it marinate while you heat the grill to medium-high. Be sure the grill grates are greased since there is no oil in the marinade.

  3. Grill the chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side.

  4. Baste the chicken with the sauce that was set aside and serve.
