Low Carb Southern Biscuits are wonderfully light and fluffy with lots of butter flavor and a little cheddar cheese. These gluten-free biscuits are made with almond flour and are paleo and keto-friendly.

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together almond flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.

  3. In a medium bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Add sour cream and butter and mix.

  4. Add egg mixture to almond flour mixture. Stir just until mixed.

  5. Stir in cheese.

  6. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full with dough. You should get about 10 biscuits.

  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
