Bacon Pecan Cabbage is a colorful healthy side with both green and red cabbage sauteed with bacon. This low carb side has so much flavor.
In a large nonstick skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Leave the bacon grease in the skillet and add cabbage. Once the cabbage cooks down some, add the garlic.
Stir cabbage frequently and cook until it softens to your liking.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add the bacon and pecans and serve.
To toast pecan halves, place them in a small skillet over medium heat until fragrant. This will take about 4 to 5 minutes. This step can be done while the cabbage is cooking.
