Soy-Lime Baked Buffalo Wings are spicy and salty with a little citrus flavor. Baked wings are so much healthier than yout typical Buffalo wings and these gluten-free wings are full of flavor.
I think I enjoy eating wings more than any other chicken piece. The ratio of meat to skin is just right for me. Plus I love the endless flavor combinations for making chicken wings.
These wings first get marinated in a mixture of lime juice, tamari sauce, and hot sauce so that the flavor really soaks in them. Tamari sauce is like soy sauce, but it is typically gluten-free. It’s also a little less salty.
The wings are baked in a super hot oven for 30 minutes. Next they are coated in hot sauce for a salty and spicy finish. I like to serve these wings with some blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing and celery sticks.
Baking chicken wngs is so much easier than frying and much healthier and with a really hot oven, you can still get them wonderfully crispy.
Recipe Tips for Making Soy-Lime Baked Buffalo Wings:
It’s best to bake these wings on a baking rack set inside a rimmed baking sheet. But if you don’t have a wire rack, it’s totally acceptable to cook them directly on a baking sheet. You may want to line it with aluminum foil for easy clean-up.
